Review of The Frighteners (1996) by James S — 20 Aug 2008
Yet again Peter Jackson proves that he is not a very good film maker with this early effort which is incoherent, messy and very badly put together.
Michael J Fox and indeed, everyone in this movie are either uetterly devoid of life or banal charicatures.
The story is okay, it's decent enough idea but is sunken down by a dreadful script that twist and turns leaving the viewer confused and at the end of the day, not interested in the slightly.
The cliimax is suitably dramatic but by that time the movie is unsalvagable.
