Review of The Fundamentals of Caring (2016) by Mark Jay K — 12 Mar 2018
"The Fundamentals of Caring" is a sweet, funny, and heartfelt movie that I enjoyed watching. I thought all of the main characters were portrayed very well, but I thought some of the supporting characters weren't always as well done.
Paul Rudd and Craig Roberts' performances stand out and I felt their characters had good chemistry. I also thought the dialogue was well-done and for the most part felt like real conversations. This took away from the overall realism of the movie.
I also think the movie hits a lot of predictable notes even though the story is very good. This isn't a movie that will change your life and there are definitely others like it just as good, but it is a very down to earth movie that will put a smile on your face regardless.
