Really interesting and captivating way to start a movie. You can already tell how sort of detached the father is. Holy shit, he;s well off. He's fucking rich! Wow, what a surprise he's a rich prick! Who was that on the roof when he was having a flashback as a kid? Interesting. He's hurting inside though and is cold and heartless. He lacks love and compassion in his life which is so ironic because he has everything - money, mansion, car - but no love. That's pretty dark. Someone seemed to have killed themselves during his birthday as a child. He's definitely got a cynical view of the world.

That's awesome how his game starts by them fucking with what he usually does which is him watching the news at night. It seems like the game is going to be designed to fuck with him, psychologically. Michael Douglas smashing a briefcase erratically is hilarious. I can see how this is kind of a nod to his other movie, Falling Down, where he walks around with a briefcase. That was insane - they get tot he hospital underground and all the lights go out and everyone just disappears.

Life lesson 1 learned: learn to care for others. He wasn't going to give a rats ass if the waitress got her job back, but being around her and going through a journey with her, he decided to help her get her job back. That was crazy how they're trying to frame him, or almost blackmail him with something he didn't do. I'm really curious to see how deep the game will go. Will they start using family members, friends of his against him? Wow, shit got real when that clean up squad showed up and started shooting. This whole game has turned into who can you trust? Can he even trust the girl? She might even be in on it too. Insane how all of it was an inside job in order to get his money.

I love the symbolism and metaphor when he breaks the coffin he was put in and is now in an all white suit as if he has been reborn. That was quite the curveball how he ended u[ in Mexico in the catacombs. It's like a company dedicated to being con men. Wow, talk about taking a game too far. Way too far. It's unfortunate that he had to go through such hell to learn some lessons, but in the end he was reborn and became a better man.

Fischer has a way of painting his movies with such dreariness and darkness with use of lights and effects. Real tense at times. I really liked how the movie took a turn in an unexpected way. I thought the game was going to teach him lessons he needed to learn to become a better person but it ended up being a crazy journey, plus him learning a few lessons in life. Wow, this movie really fucked with my mind. And what a huge unexpected twist at the end. This hands down has to be the movie that has fucked with me the most. Right when you think things are going one way, they take a sharp turn and it turns out to be what you weren't expecting.

Awesome movie! I'd watch it again.
