Review of The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) by Mike M — 15 Aug 2007
If you are looking for a classic movie that totally wraps you up into the structure of a story, this film is the way to go. "The Ghost and the Darkness" shows how storyteling should be and how the use of the story yields greater benefits that special effects.
The one thing that totally engrosses you is the soundtrack. The loud horns and the tribal vocals set the mood of the African Continent and gives that sense of an uplifted spirit when used in key points in the movie.
I have not seen this film in a while. I picked it up last week, watched it, and fell in love with it all over again.
