Review of The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018) by Mr P — 23 Nov 2018
Usually I agree with the critics, but not so this time. In fact, when I read the reviews I thought to myself, "What?!?!?! Are ... you ... crazy?" One of the best movies I've seen in a while.
And don't think someone new in the role of Lisbeth Salander doesn't do the role justice. She does and then some. In fact, I'd say she was born for the role. Also don't think that you need to watch The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (or read the books off of which they're based) to understand what's going on (you don't).
And finally, don't think that this film is so anti-NSA that you feel traitorous just for watching it (you won't). I'd sum this up by saying, good story, well cast, never a dull moment, and worth every penny you pay to see it in a movie theater.
If I had only two words to describe this movie, they would be "Shockingly good.".
