Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Michaelbeatch — 09 Sep 2019
A visually stunning stretch into the dark undertone of the Corleone family. In Part 2 we have a great film that works as a character study. The trouble for me is Michael and Vito's separate storylines are unparalleled.
What starts off fresh for Michael drifts lengthily to my disinterest by the final leg. Regardless of how gorgeous it looks, I find that Vito carries a movie he is barely in. His journey contains the most visceral 45 minutes to ever witness in cinema.
