Review of The Godfather Part II (1974) by Dmlyxcritic — 31 Jan 2020
Just when I thought that the first film is impossible to surpass, then comes this. The Godfather Part II is perfect in many ways the first film is not. Darker, heavier, longer and epic in every way, the film is a massive improvement from the first, providing a rich backstory of Don Vito Corleone, and a darker contemporary story of the present-day trials of his son, Michael.
This is the greatest sequel of all time, and shows how sequels should be made.
