Review of The Good Liar (2019) by Indiefilmlover — 20 Nov 2019
This programmer featuring strong performances by Mirren and McKellen is a bit too ambitious for its own good. What should have essentially been a story about a con artist and his relentless pursuit of his next victim gets bogged down with some rather convoluted plot twists.
Not every film featuring septuagenarian leads needs to be of awards caliber. Just like films featuring younger actor's it's okay for it just to be fun.
