Went in expecting a dumb action movie. Got a much less dumb action movie! The acting is actually pretty good and the action set-pieces are well done. The character development feels a little rushed because they clearly had more action to fit in, but it is there.
Has a nice blending of Wuxia and a more western wandering hero feel. One of the neat things they do is only a small part of the Chinese cast speaks english, so there is some translation going on, in character. Be warned though, there are subtitles to read. If you don't like that then you may not enjoy it as much as I did.
