Review of The Green Knight (2021) by Valbal — 01 Nov 2021

This is one of those rare times when I regret not looking into the film prior to watching it the first time. Certain elements of this film I didn't recognize at first and it changes the way u see the movie.

I love the tone, I'd love more fantasy films this dark and mysterious. I'd love to see this world explored further too. It's really fascinating and balanced to the point where it feels like u're watching a historical piece which makes it much more believable.

I love how the film is full of symbolism that you can spend hours discussing after the film is over. Its themes are also not something that's out in the open I believe. I have my ideas of what this film is truly about but I can't say that I know for a fact.

I have to watch it a few times more.
