Review of The Grinch (2018) by Brian R — 12 Nov 2018

Funny, but its major plot was never closed, and its message is not the healthiest.

Lucy Loo wanted help for her struggling single mother, but at the end of the movie, all we got was her mom saying something along the lines of "aw you didn't have to wish for that, you're the best present I could have", which solves absolutely nothing, and is honestly unhealthy for both Lucy Loo and her mother. A nicer and healthier ending would be if the townspeople offered to watch the three (three!) kids, or clean her house, or just help her out. But alas. Instead, this struggling, overworked mother does not get the help that she needs, (the goal that has been driving the entire movie, may I add), and will probably end up relying only on little Lucy Loo, which is not healthy for either of them.

So not the best message or ending...
