Review of The Grudge 3 (2009) by Katie S — 06 Apr 2012
Hollow direct-to-video sequel to the excellent Ju-On/Grudge franchise. This was the first in the series not directed by the original series creator and it really shows. This film goes through all the motions, but achieves none of the scares or suspense of the previous films.
Also, the introduction of gore to the franchise seems wholly unnecessary. The original Japanese language film still remains the best.
