Review of The Guest (2014) by Meganbecause — 30 Apr 2021
I think that we all saw through this plot from the beginning, like the writer looked up “what makes a good thriller” and stole every trope from the list: family weakened by the loss of a loved one, bad guy preys on said family, black man saves the day - or at least tries to, and finally the girl who knew what was up the whole time takes the bad guy down in a showdown in a made up “funny house” with the hall of mirrors, blinking lights, etc.
The only redeeming quality is the the music - which is why it got 1 star from me, dawg.
