Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Jaime D — 16 Aug 2016
Usually when I rate a film so low it's because the director hasn't managed to achieve what they have set out to, some where, some how, some thing has been lost in translation from page to screen.
However here we have an incredible technician of a film maker making exactly the film he wanted to with every frame singing of an auteur in control of his craft. The problem is that the film QT wanted to make is juvenile, cartoonish, overly long, lacking in pathos or humour and undeserving of the skill it took to make it.
