I truly hope Sam Elliott receives an Oscar for his performance in The Hero. His work in the is movie is mesmerizing. The movie itself is well written. It is minimal yet contains all the info needed to tell the story.
The supporting cast is also strong, but are really just doing their job...supporting the lead. And make no mistake this is the Sam Elliott show for show.
