Review of The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting (2003) by Alicia M — 28 Nov 2011
It was obviously never going to compare to the original, but the plot synopsis at least made it sound like it had potential. C. Thomas Howell pointlessly returns - his only real role in this is to pass the torch of victim to his missus - and so we have a typical psycho chasing girl formula.
The plot holes are multiple and frequent, and Jake Busey was never going to top Rutger Hauer's spectacular performance from the first film. There are vague hints at the hitcher possessing some sort of supernatural presence, but these aren't particularly developed.
Totally forgettable and unnecessary sequel.
