Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by Moviemitch96 — 15 Dec 2013
I'd say that this was equally as good as part 1 and that it definitely managed to keep me entertained. I really liked the cast and their performances. Martin Freeman once again fulfilled his role as Bilbo rather nicely.
Ian Mckellen is getting old, but he still makes a great Gandalf. Orlando Bloom returns as Legolas and he's fun to watch. Needless to say, the best part is when Smaug finally arrives. Benedict Cumberbatch sounds better than ever as the voice behind Smaug.
The action was also great and will likely please adults and children alike.
