Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by James Z — 11 Apr 2018
A perfectly entertaining continuation of the previous film whose only drawback is the filmmaker's unwillingness or inability to contain the story within an appropriate length and structure, so a cheap cliffhanger is all we are left with at the end of an otherwise fantastic effort.
