Review of The House That Jack Built (2018) by Júlio A — 22 Dec 2018
There are many aspects of this movie that are undeniably fantastic. Lars has a way of making scenes that are so believable and feel so real that it is uncomfortable. Matt Dillonâ(TM)s performance is also truly chilling.
That being said I feel that the film was drug on much longer than needed. Itâ(TM)s a full 2.5 hours and at times does feel pretty monotonous. It keeps you clinging on by the handful of disturbing events and the desire to find out who he is talking to throughout.
If you have some time on your hands and enjoy films that some find unpalletably disturbing itâ(TM)s worth a watch.
