It started off good but then it got a bit generic, cheesy 1980s kid movie generic. I still enjoyed it, but was hoping for more magic and less of the kid screaming like a banshee and the friend crap. The movie got really dark at times.
I think kids will eat this up though; it looks like something I would have loved as a child.
