Review of The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) by Matthew D — 17 Dec 2018
Family-fun spook-a-thon. It's not the best of Jack Black's work, but it's certainly not the worst. Blanchett adds to the fray with decent tensions towards black's character as well as adding and moving the story along.
In other words, it's not just a single hero pushing the main character through the turmoil, it's a banding togetherness which gives it a decent mushy message if you're into that sort of thing.
