Review of The Hunt for Red October (1990) by James H — 04 May 2009
Once you get past the silliness of Sean Connery playing a Russian submarine captain (come on, he didn't even try to hide his accent), The Hunt for Red October is a taut, suspenseful thriller with an intelligence that other films in the genre usually lack.
It is definitely a slow boil to the climax, but the payoff is worth it. Highly recommended, and one of my favorite movies.
