Review of The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz (2014) by Emmanuel B — 01 Sep 2014
Going into Brian Knappenberger's documentary, I had a passing knowledge of who Aaron Swartz was but I hadn't looked or considered what the young genius had brought not only to the internet community but to the way we interact with technology. His is a story of a young genius who wanted to make the world a better place through technology and who, at every step, was resisted by the corporations that look to make money off of technology.
Though on the long side, Knappenberger's documentary is well worth a look and the last 20 minutes are a gut punch.
