Review of The Interview (2014) by Jake M — 21 Oct 2017
The first time I saw The Interview I thought it was great, now I think the film is only Ok. The film is just a waste of good actors, like the plot of the film is funny but it just didn't work for me on the second viewing, I'm also going to be completely honest I think I only liked the film the first time because of the controversy surrounding it.
I thought parts of the film was funny like Kim Jong-uns obsession with Katy Perry, but that was pretty much it. Seth Rogen and James Franco are both great actors but The Interview is one of their weaker films, if your a fan a slapstick, offensive humor than The Interview is for you.
Another thing about the film is it gets extremely violent as the film progresses however its always comedic, but still if your not fine with bloody violence than the film isn't for you. The Interview is an entertaining film however the film doesn't get better after the first time you watch it, however if you ask me Knocked Up (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), This is The End (2013), and Neighbors (2014) are much better films.
If you want to give THe Interview a try go right ahead however you may be disappointed.
