Review of The Invasion (2007) by Tero H — 30 Dec 2012
Here is a list of pluses and minuses:
+ Interesting scifi idea with enough action.
- however the film's story does not tell one enough on the alien organism or its origins.
+ Craig, Kidman and others are acting properly which keeps the film above the water so to say.
- of course, its very much a copy of "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (the better of the films).
+ some exciting chases, car -and otherwise.
- on the other hand, the film is quite short and passes quickly - and because it didn't have.
Anything special going on, it also is forgotten rather quickly.
Over all, the basic premise doesn't get old, and there's action with well acted characters, but it does not give anything extra and is quite a straightforward clone of the 70's original scifi-scary-movie.
