Review of The Judge (2014) by Dan B — 08 Jan 2017
Although some critics have called this film "thoroughly clichéd", the fact remains that not every contemporary film needs to be cynical and unsatisfying to be good. I hear "independent film" I look to see if Beavis and Butthead are on.
Having said that, "The Judge" is without a doubt one of the great, misjudged jewels of Robert Downey Jr.'s already brilliant career. It is powerful., touching, and hits you right in the heart.
I loved it and don't care how many critics said it was weak.
