Review of The Jungle Book (2016) by Zachary B — 28 Mar 2018
It's a bumpy ride with some truly lovely moments - the elephant scene to name one - and some rather duff ones, like the sinister build up to the monkey king's introduction being woefully undermined by the singing, classic tune notwithstanding.
It' wanders between original Kipling and Disney fun film and it loses its thread as a result. But it's an enjoyable watch and those effects are astonishing.
