Review of The Karate Kid (2010) by Karen K — 21 Jan 2019
I enjoyed this so much more than expected. I must admit, the strongest performance of the film was Jackie Chan's turn to the dramatic. Well done...his performance pulled this movie out of the mundane for me. So much better than his counterpart in the original (which I never liked.).
Jaden was okay- not bad but not overly impressive. Other characters were pretty one dimensional.
That said, due to the location, set, and Chan's performance - I enjoyed this much more than the original.
