Review of The Killing Fields (1984) by Aaron M — 11 Jan 2013
Given this films high critic rating I was expecting Apocalypse Now. This is not what I got and I suppose to some extent my bitterness at that has affected my rating. The story seemed to try too hard to strike an emotional resonance that simply wasnt there.
The main character was not likeable in the least, his sidekick was awkward and uncomfortable, the story had no lead in and neither did half of the secondary characters.
