Review of The King's Man (2021) by Healingtoolbox — 29 Oct 2022
Pro critics are correct, this is really two stories, two movies which tonally don't mesh together for audiences. 10/10 for first movies, ending with death of Rasputin. This is Matthew Vaughan at his best. It does belong with the earlier two movies. 8/10 for the second movie which tries to span the rest of WWI, ignoring the wrenching tone change into tragedy and loss.
Still if you love good movie making craft, lots to love here. The Blu-ray extras makes this even more obvious. King's Man would likely have made $350 million or more if not for covid.
