Review of The Last House on the Left (2009) by Don S — 30 Jun 2017
An updating of Wes Craven's The Last House on the Left, this time produced by Craven. The original is classic in the sense that it was depraved and grew the genre. However, it was low budget, poorly acted, and contained atrocities you were loathe to watch.
This one has a decent budget, has actors you may recognize and fair to good acting, and though still contains one horrid scene, it is filmed better so not to be as stomach turning. Effectively shot, well paced, better than average effects.
A well done horror movie.
