Review of The Last King of Scotland (2006) by Greg W — 08 Jan 2015
I have never liked Forest Whitaker as an actor, but he is terrifying in this role. He normally plays the big, friendly teddy-bear characters, but here he is a frightening tyrant. On first hearing about this movie, I didn't think he could pull it off, but after seeing it, I was very impressed.
James McAvoy is great, as usual, but watch this to see the pinnacle of Forest Whitaker's career.
