Review of The Last Movie Star (2018) by Mark B — 20 Jun 2018
I think you had to have been of Burt Reynolds generation to really understand this. Sort of a feeling of melancholy realizing that one should appreciate their youth while living it. Putting old Burt next to young Burt in classic movies like Deliverance or Smokey and the Bandit was interesting and so well done.
I had no idea Ariel Winter had this kind of acting chops. She never had a chance to really act on Modern Family. A very moving ending that is, at the same time, satisfying.
