Not a bad premise, but we all know how it ends. Corey Hawkins doesn't really work as a lead either. All in all, it's kinda boring and they show the vampire too soon. And it's a creature instead of the charming vampire we think of, who is more terrifying than the monster.
Add to it Hawkins little DEI rant, and this doesn't work on any level. Still, it looks good and aside from Hawkins, has some good performances.
