Review of The Last Witch Hunter (2015) by John A — 01 Nov 2015
Remember "Constantine" with Keanu Reeves? Change "Angels" to "Witches" and you've got this movie.
So, not much to see here: Vin Diesel plays himself, as always. The rest of the cast is forgettable, except Michael Cain (not because of his performance but because of who he is).
Character development? Zero.
Interesting plot? Nah. Watching some spells being cast is the only "highlight" here ; the story is - nuances aside - predictable and most of the times hilariously over-the-top simplistic.
Still waiting for a more interesting movie in this particular genre to come out - although, after this one, I think the demand for this kind of movie will universally be at a low for quite some time.
