Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Marischa B — 18 Dec 2011
A novel with a far-fetched plot and a cast of stereotyped one-dimensional characters becomes an absolutely awful film that unfortunately takes down a whole lot of good actors along the way. The real travesty, though, is not that the film got released.
It's that it received generally favorable reviews, saw commercial success, and is paving the way for a sequel AND a TV show. If that doesn't demonstrate just how far the movie business has its head up its ass, I don't know what does.
Veto.
