I never loved this movie and slowly I have come to not like it. While I like the plot and message, I don't get why Mufasa thinks hyenas are bad and I don't understand how Scar's rule made the land so desolate; I believe hyena resurgence should not result in such change, because they are part of the ecosystem and are as equal as the other animals.
In my opinion, Scar was doing the hyenas and the land a good deed by killing Mufasa, who I deem a fascist.
