Review of The Little Prince (2015) by Cork B — 20 Dec 2018
Wow. Just wow. If you are French and like to sit around creating artsy metaphors for pontificating on life and the evils of capitalism while sipping wine and cheese, this movie is for you. I recall seeing this book as a kid and not being impressed, and not much has changed. You might say, yeah, but you didn't get the deeper meaning - yeah I got it. It was pounded and beaten and flayed over and over again. It just isn't coherent (which I GET is the point), and maybe I am just too OCD like the mom in the story.
I am not saying I didn't enjoy the movie - it was well done and there were some well done messages and laughs. Ironically, I enjoyed most of the movie that DIDN'T have the Prince in it. It held my attention most of the way through, although I started to nod off at the end. My kids seemed to enjoy it, so points there.
