Review of The Longest Week (2014) by Ethan L — 09 Nov 2015
There's a fine line between being "inspired" by a director, and totally ripping one off. This is like a Wes Anderson fan film that copies everything about his visual style and attempts to copy his dry narcissistic characters but falls well short of both.
It's a shame the director didn't just concentrate on making the best film he could, because he has a good cast in Jason Bateman and Olivia Wilde, but he was clearly so transfixed with being Wes Anderson mark 2.
