Review of The Lost City (2022) by Masterchief247 — 07 May 2022
This movie is about as average as I can remember. It tries to be a little Lara Croft, a little Indiana Jones, and a little bit of your favorite romance movie (whatever that may be). Unfortunately, it fails pretty bad at all of them, and really lacks its own identity.
It had a few funny parts. The action was drab and boring, and the main villain is hardly believable as a threat. There is also a LOT of identity politics strewn throughout the film. If this is something which bothers you in a film, be prepared.
It's everywhere in this one. Otherwise, it would have been a rental. Nothing here warrants paying the price of admission to see. No good special effects or action, no good humor, no chemistry really between the characters, and a boring story.
All the movies this one tries to be, are far better. Save your money.
