Review of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015) by Leah M — 15 Jan 2019
This movie is so refreshing in its story telling. The plot is simple enough to grasp quickly, so as an audience you aren't trying to retrace your steps and figure out what is going. This allows you to focus your attention on and fully appreciate the quick-witted characters, fun little plot twists, great sets, and a great film score. There is an artistic feel to this movie that makes it stand out, but over all the best selling point is the characters. They are compelling and fun to watch as they develop. You have characters from three major countries trying to work together and overcome their own pasts. It's a blast to watch them attempt to get along and eventually care for eachother.
It is an immediate favorite, and I had to watch it again a short time after first being introduced to it. The best way I can describe the experience is like watching Indiana Jones for the first time as a kid. It's the grown up version, with wittier characters and a more complex cast.
