Review of The Man with One Red Shoe (1985) by Matthew C — 17 Jul 2013
A simple and solid romantic comedy that oozes Hanks in the 80s and just 80s in general. Embrace it. The movie is a little slow to get going. The plot is somewhat complex and to explain it takes some time.
We don't even see Hanks until a good way in. But once he's on screen and the plot is taken care of, the gags can start and the movie really gets going. While it's not the funniest, most clever, or most inventive of comedies, it's a hoot and you're in the mood, you won't regret it.
It's fun.
