Review of The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) by James S — 29 Sep 2017
It is probable that Roger Moore is the worst actor of the James Bond series, but he definitely had a presence. He brought a high class elegance to the character. He seemed to rarely be physically injured, and seemed to grow up a bit in the lady department as the series continued.
This particular movie gets my attention for one main reason: the whole idea is not Bond vs. a huge underworld group or the British vs. some other country or even the free world vs. the not so free world.
The bottom line in this flic is a one-on-one battle between equals. Everything before the eventual dual leads up to the climax, and the blowing up of the island closes the story, but really has little to do with the main topic.
A good film.
