An absolute mess--and a boring mess, with nothing that ever felt like real stakes. There are amateur-level mistakes at every turn, particularly in the script. It has nothing to show, nothing to say, and relies entirely on our nostalgia for the original movie as it walks us through almost the exact same beats, with almost the exact same ending, only with considerably less of interest along the way this time.
