Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Russell S — 23 Oct 2018
Matrix Revolutions, the concluding part of the Matrix trilogy, whilst initially disappointing, does improve with successive viewings. Spectacular looking even today, the large battle scenes are particularly impressive and epic looking.
The writing, as with Reloaded, has some horribly corny moments but is thankfully much less convoluted and mentally taxing this time. Both sequels fail to draw you in totally. Something that the first movie managed so effortlessly.
Nevertheless, Revolutions does end the saga well, if not necessarily how I'd have liked.
