Review of The Matrix Revolutions (2003) by Tudorpopescu — 31 Oct 2020
Out of the Matrix trilogy, Revolutions is my least favorite, but I still consider it a good movie. The reason I like it less is because the characters don't spend as much time in the Matrix, which to me is by far the most interesting part of these films.
I didn't care that much about Zion, to be honest. Zion was your typical post-apocalyptic SF settlement, I've seen them before. The fighting scenes there also haven't aged very well. But the Matrix is something new and unique. I wanted more of that. Here's hoping Matrix 4 will focus heavily on the Matrix.
