Review of The Meg (2018) by Cork B — 20 Nov 2018
What can I say about this movie? It's not good enough nor bad enough. I know that The Meg was a surprise hit at the box office but this movie is mediocre. The performances are good and the storyline somewhat acceptable, but the CGI work in this movie is not as good as it should have been.
Also, this movie feels a little stupid, a bit out of this world. To sum up this review, I think this movie is very mediocre, the acting is fine and the story a bit acceptable. Unfortunately, the CGI work, storyline and the fact that there have been so many great shark movies to compare The Meg to (like Jaws) make The Meg a 3-star movie for me.
I read that they are planning a sequel to this, which I hope will be a better effort than this. 3/5 stars.
