Review of The Meg (2018) by Godzillaavenger — 26 Feb 2019

I mean this film is really stupid but at the same time it was kind of fun. I think my main issue with this movie is that it takes itself way too seriously. With that being said, I think this movie is a silly fun time that one can enjoy. I do want to mention one scene in this movie because it is awesome but it is also a spoiler so there's the warning:

Towards the end of the film I love how they handle the Megalodon. Jason Statham's character is piloting this underwater glider thing and he turns the glider over and cuts open the shark. He also stabs it in the eye, and then when the shark is bleeding, all of these other sharks come and start eating the Megalodon. Overall it was a fun movie but not anything special. I personally enjoyed it but my biggest issue is the tone of it. It is way too serious in the middle, but towards the end it gets back to crazy town.
