This movie pretends to be so much more than it is. This movie pretends it is the hamburger while actually being all the pretentious unnecessary courses along the way. The audience members who watch this whole thing and enjoy it are the rich elite who cry out YES DIRECTOR as they burn away hours of their life for absolutely no purpose.
A movie made by rich elite people criticizing the elite that criticize rich critics, neat. On the bright side the cinematography is delightful, and Fiennes is per usual a tour de force.
