Review of The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) (2017) by Rupert%20 D — 31 Mar 2018
Lame and bizarrely caricatured people who you find no affinity with and I felt would do us all a favour if they didn't exist at all. It's the ongoing American distortion of strangely wealthy white people living outrageously expensive lives and we're supposed to find this engaging or amusing? The only good thing about it is that as it's on Netflix, you don't even have to get up and leave the cinema; we just changed channel.
And as far as an offering for the Palm D'or goes, if this is the level Netflix have got to there really is no need to contrive to exclude them as they're doing a great job themselves.
